Position Description: Marketing Representative / Dockside
Reports to: Director of Marketing
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Salary: $19.00 per hour
Shift type: Thursday – Saturday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Human Resources: Cheryl Barrows

Summary:

Marketing Representatives are responsible for managing and distributing marketing materials (brochures, magazines, maps, etc.) at the Hyannis dock. The Marketing Representative also serves as a customer liaison on property (dock and ticket office).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service in all aspects of work.
• Respond courteously and accurately to questions posed by the public.
• Seeks assistance from other staff, if needed, to find the correct answer for the inquirer.
• Assist with crowd control and organization of the dock area.
• Work in tandem with ticket agents, dock staff, vessel crew, security personnel

Licenses, Registrations, and/or Certifications:

Must have a valid MA driver’s license

Required Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Must be able to lift at least 35 pounds.
Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather conditions.
Must have excellent customer service skills, communication skills and a good work ethic.
Significant amount of walking and standing.
Knowledge of Hy-Line, Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard preferred.
Must have cell phone.
Must be able to safely perform the essential duties for the position, with or without, reasonable accommodation.

Harbor, marine (maritime) environment. Travel using personal vehicle
