• Custodian

        • Year round.  This position cleans and maintains company facilities and properties on a scheduled basis as well as attending to unforeseen situations that occur daily.  This role is responsible for custodial services in all terminal area buildings and restrooms, refuse collection and removal, including recyclables.  This position will also be responsible with helping keep the immediate terminal area looking clean and professional.  Other tasks may include, but are not limited to, small repair of faucets, pipes, toilets and sinks; simple repairs to switches, wall sockets, according to skill level.
            • Property Management Staff

            • Part-time and Full-time year-round positions available.  This position performs a multitude of tasks including; building maintenance, grounds maintenance and general landscaping, refuse collection and removal, snow removal, painting, plumbing repairs, simple electrical tasks, light carpentry, and cleaning in and around buildings as needed.
          • Requirements for Custodian and Property Management Staff:  Clean driver’s license, as determined by insurance or regulatory agency.  Landscaping/building maintenance experience preferred but will train someone who is eager to learn.  Must be a minimum of 18 years old to operate machinery or drive any company vehicles.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation, and must be comfortable working from ladders and with heights up to 10 feet. 
            • Security Officer

            • Seasonal – May through October.  Security Officers work primarily outside in a marine environment regulated by USCG, TSA, and Homeland Security.  Officers are responsible for conducting passenger and baggage screening, vessel and terminal area security, protecting the company and passenger property.  Officers patrol the grounds, interact with staff, passengers and the general public.  Officers ensure safety and security rules are followed and intervene appropriately for any security related situation.  This position requires excellent communication skills, sound decision-making ability, ability to function safely in a variable environment, accountability, and reliability.
          • Requirements for Security Officer:  Valid MA driver’s license, MA LTC preferred but not required.  Post high school, secondary education strongly preferred.  Must be at least 25 years of age with minimum three years of experience in law enforcement, Class A security, or similar occupation.
              • Dock Staff

                • Year-Round, evening shift 12 PM – 7 PM.  Dock Staff are responsible for maintaining dock, terminal, plaza and all adjacent areas, keeping the area free of debris and emptying trash containers.  The Dock Staff handle mooring lines, set up signage and boarding lines, maintain control of the luggage cart area, make sure bicycles are ticketed, loading and off-loading luggage and bicycles from cars and ferries.  This job entails significant amount of walking and standing.

        NANTUCKET – All applicants must have on-island housing

            • Dock Staff

              • Dock Staff are responsible for maintaining dock and adjacent areas.  Dock staff handle boat lines, help set up signage and boarding lines, maintain control of the luggage cart area, loading and off-loading luggage and bicycles.  Assist with ferry arrivals and departures, including the organization of passengers.  Maintain cleanliness of dock area.  Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
