Position Description: Terminal Maintenance Technician (Part Time or Full Time, Seasonal, starting mid April)
Location: Hyannis MA
Reports to: Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Human Resources: Cheryl Barrows

Summary:

The Property Maintenance Technician is a member of the Property Management Department and encompasses all roles within the Property Management Department. As a member of the Property Management Department, the primary role of Property Maintenance Technicians is to clean and maintain company facilities, grounds, and properties on a scheduled basis as well as attending to unforeseen situations that occur daily. Team members report directly to the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager.

The diverse nature of Hy-Line Cruises properties means that team members are required to perform a variety of different tasks, both in a team environment and independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Property Maintenance Technician is generally divided into three categories for the work being performed on a day-to-day basis, each with separate but overlapping responsibilities.

Licenses, Registrations, and/or Certifications:

Must posses a valid and clean Massachusetts driver’s license, as determined by insurance or other regulatory agency. Employee must consent to a background review of license which will be conducted post offer, pre-employment.

Required Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required. Landscaping/building maintenance experience preferred.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Must be a minimum of 18 years old for this position to operate machinery or drive any company vehicles. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and must be comfortable working from ladders and with heights up to 10 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Typical Work Environments:

Work is performed outdoors with varied weather conditions, and indoors or warehouse environment as the work dictates. There can be significant noise related to machinery and daily work environment. This position works in a building and grounds, construction, maintenance, and marine environment.
