Position Description: Parking/Freight Reservation Agent
Reports to: Parking Manager or On Duty Parking Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibility: None
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Shift type: Part time or Seasonal. Morning 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM or Afternoon 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Summary:

Parking/Freight Reservation Agents are under the direct supervision of the Parking Manager or On Duty Parking Supervisor. This position uses the parking reservation system to process transactions. Agents are also responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing freight transactions, resolve customer issues related to freight matters, and may assist other Hy-Line parking staff if needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engages with customers on phone or in- person making, changing, or confirming parking reservations.
• Manages, via computerized software, recording the reservation, collecting payments, and issuing tickets.
• Accurately processes freight transactions and ensures freight goes onto carts.
• Accurately collects and reconciles money and receipts.
• Responds appropriately to comments or complaints and resolves as best as possible to the satisfaction of the customer.

Required Education and Experience:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Ability to speak clearly.
Excellent phone manner required.
Accurate math skills.
Strong computer and customer service skills.
Must be able to safely perform the essential duties for the position, with or without, reasonable accommodation.

Typical Work Environments:

Primarily inside the Parking gazebo.  Subject to all forms of weather. Marine environment, harborside.
