Traveling to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard is easy! One-on-one assistance is available for those in need who are traveling with Hy-Line. Every situation is unique, so if one is concerned about accessibility issues and convenience please call ahead (800-492-8082) to ask any questions you may have. All ticket sales areas are hard surfaces such as concrete or pavement; you will encounter dirt or gravel surfaces in most of our parking lots. Upon arrival, make our staff aware of your needs and we will try our best to accommodate you or others you are traveling with who need assistance.
We offer a limited number of handicapped parking spaces about 100 yards away from the Ticket Office. When making your reservations by phone, don't forget to mention your needs so we can discuss how to best help you. Pre-boarding is also available for those who need assistance.
We see lots and lots of families each season. Our ferries to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard can take 1-2 hours, which can be long for some of our younger friends. Lots of children love to explore the ferries while underway and we strongly encourage you to accompany your children, keeping an eye on them while they explore. If they have any questions about the ferry or Cape Cod and the Islands, a crewmember will be nearby to answer any questions your little sponge may have. Many children also enjoy books or games while traveling on the ferries. In addition, we advise allowing ample time in advance of your scheduled departure for parking, ticketing and boarding. Traveling with your family can be overwhelming with luggage and carry-ons for the little ones; let us know what we can do to help!
Pets are allowed on board all of our island-bound ferries except in the First Class Lounge section of our Traditional Nantucket ferry, Great Point. There is no fee, however they must be properly leashed/caged and are not allowed on the furniture. We'd like to thank you in advance of being respectful of those traveling with allergies.
